Same editorial issue as in the AVIF spec (see AOMediaCodec/av1-avif#218): the spec uses value definition types, which is for CSS values and not for generic values. Same remedy: the spec should rather use the generic dfn type instead.

Related to this, AV1-ISOBMFF should ideally also explicitly export the definitions that make sense. (<dnf> is noexport by default).

We want to refer to the following definitions in AVIF but they are currently not exported:

  • AV1CodecConfigurationBox
  • AV1 Sample
  • AV1 Track
