I think a couple of extra pictures would help. What about an approximating pyramid that is actually a stack of boxes? Perhaps a side view of the pyramid would help the reader see where x = 10-y/2 comes from as well.
I found the current gridlines on the pyramid confusing. The discussion is on how to approximate the volume by boxes, but the lines on the pyramid clearly do not form little boxes.
The discussion of the pyramid problem needs some work. It is a bit confusing.
