I'm using the Kodi Addon, "The Movie Database Python", and I think it's the same code as here?
Here's what I reported to TMDB support:
Keeps matching to "Guinea Pig Part 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood", "...a woman is kidnapped by an unknown assailant and taken back to his blood-spattered dungeon, where he turns her into a "flower of blood and flesh" through a series of dismemberment and evisceration." Rather awful movie to see the poster for on my Kodi view.
I tested the API, and it came back with two entries; in order with the Guinea Pig first, Flesh+Blood second. I would suggest that exact matches come back first, since The Movie Database Python add-on 3.0.1 grabs just the first one returned, and ignores the rest. Note also that The Guinea Pig original_language is ja, and the default language filter is set to en-US.
But I thought, this could be ameliorated on the the add-on side by searching the return set for exact matches, which match #2 was an exact title match.
Just an idea.
