I'm also getting it but i think it is connected to the Google Site Kit plugin?

I installed one of the 3.6 release candidates, it worked fine, but I'm running a self-employed local news site, if things go wrong, that's my choice.

I confirm that to avoid errors you DON'T have to download the plugin using the raw code option from the folder, but follow the link provided to the last releases (canditate or stable), and those zip packages will work fine.
