when writing a test, it is completely unclear which file new tests should be added to. I recognize that this is totally my fault 😞

Because I'm apparently now a one-trick pony, I'm going to point to pandas. As usual, they're awesome: https://github.com/pandas-dev/pandas/tree/master/pandas/tests
