a new API for access to EG4/LuxPower inverters and batteries

Hi, I just ran across this and thought I'd share just in case it's something of interest to you for PPG.
It's a python library for access to a bunch of EG4/LuxPower inverters and batteries.
Looking a bit closer it appears to be an interface to their Web Monitoring API, not direct inverter/device communications.

The problem with that project is that since it polls the eg4 cloud platform, you are limited in scope/frequency of how often the inverter units push data to their service, which is usually no faster than 1m. This project, PythonProtocolGateway, allows you to plug directly into the inverter and poll at frequencies much faster. Personally, I'm polling the inverter+battery every 10s.

Agreed, I love the performance of the instrumentation with PPG. Seems for the non-technical the slow mode is better than no mode. I'm sticking with PPG for sure.

i think it would be possible to add REST API support to ppg...
not sure if i would be able to do it in a clean manner though :P
