Project: Design and implement DP Creator 2 Proof-of-Concept

Overview

• Design and implement a new, DP Creator application (DP Creator 2) that uses Python and Shiny.
• We plan to use an iterative design-development approach to rapidly create and deploy a DP Creator proof-of-concept, then collect user feedback. User feedback will inform requirements for future versions of the DP Creator application.
• Note: This project replaces work originally planned in Project: DP Creator Improvements #212

Timeline

• Start: 2024/09/01
• End: 2025/06/30

Tasks

• Develop several potential DP Creator designs and get feedback from the project team (@mccalluc)
• Choose the design for proof-of-concept (Team)
• DPCreator2: Develop Shiny proof-of-concept #337
• Project team interacts with and tests proof-of-concept, and provides feedback to inform refinements
• Implement refinements (@mccalluc)
• User testing (TBD)
  • Recruit user testing participants
  • Collect user feedback (see: DPCreator2: Collect questions for prospective proof-of-concept testers #336)
  • Summarize findings to inform future DP Creator versions
