Is there any implementation of Apple MediaExtension to support MKV on MacOS? #200

Not as far as I know, but maybe someone did it.

There is WebM support (Matroska cousin) in Safari, I suppose it's done that way. It's unlikely they use libmatroska for that.

@robUx4 making an MKV media extension for MacOS would result in the finder and other MacOS apps being able to open MKV, do you know if Final Cut would then support MKV? From my understanding, Final Cut supports codec and container supported at the OS level but would this add compatibility to a new container?
