CONGA has a similar functionality in https://devops.wcm.io/conga/plugins/aem/index.html which can be used in CONGA handlebar templates like this: https://devops.wcm.io/conga/plugins/aem/handlebars-helpers.html.

Source code in https://github.com/wcm-io-devops/conga-aem-plugin/blob/develop/conga-aem-plugin/src/main/java/io/wcm/devops/conga/plugins/aem/crypto/impl/AesCryptoSupport.java.

Instead of relying on JSafe directly it uses the Sun JCE Provider shipped with the JRE.
