ESMVALTool (https://www.esmvaltool.org/) has been deployed in Galaxy Climate JupyterLab. Next steps are:

  • write a Galaxy training for ESMValTool through Galaxy Climate JupyterLab
  • Develop Galaxy tool for running ESMValTool routinely and operationaly
  • Write a Galaxy training for ESMValTool using Galaxy tools and Galaxy workflows.

Tested ESMValTool in Climate JupyterLab. Now we need to introduce a new Galaxy tool where end-users would be able to enter their recipe. We need to think about how users will specify input data (using permanent identifier from ESGF, etc.?). Alos more generally we need to start thinking about an efficient way to build our "reference data". So far, we have investigated the use of s3-compatible external storage.
