Any reason ebay and google query bridges haven't been developed yet?

No one requested one for ebay (aren't there notifications that you can setup which would probably be easier?) and for google there are google groups, search and play store bridges. Which one would be missing?

In general the answer would be "Not requested or no maintainer found for the request" :)

You're right ebay does have a "saved searches" option that I forgot about. It would be nice to have ebay with my other feeds but I'll see how an email filter works out with their updates.

For google I think it would be cool to have a shopping query.

What do you mean with shopping query?

If I type in "Merrell" in the google shopping search, the results differ on every search. What would you like to see in an rss feed? New listings? Changed prices?

There are a few shopping related deal portals already in the system. I wouldnt really know what to display in an rss feed that is google-shopping related.

But nonetheless, if you can describe exactly what you would want the bridge to do, open an issue with a bridge request and maybe someone will pick it up. rss-bridge is contributor driven, so we depend on people to build and maintain bridges.

Yeah I was mostly thinking of it for new listings but I do see what you mean, when I repeat a search there are some small changes to the results each time and I didn't notice that until now. Maybe it would be better just to develop bridges for individual stores of interest. I'm the newbie here and you'd be more informed than myself if the juice of a google shopping bridge is worth the squeeze. I started this discussion for exactly this feedback so thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I personally dont think that a google shopping bridge would make sense, as the first results dont really indicate a new listing. If you want deals, better check for one of the pages that specialize on those since google shopping isnt really made for deal-hunting. There are deal sites (mydealz.de in germany) or price comparison sites (idealo.de again in germany) with notification options galore. I assume theres going to be one for your country.
