Describe the bug
When using the BardonChatGPT(v0.1.8) Chrome extension, an error message appears on the right side (BARD side) when pressing Enter. The error message is as follows: "Failed to load response from BARD: (400 (https://bard.google.com/_/BardChatUi/data/assistant.lamda.BardFrontendService/StreamGenerate?bl=boq_assistant-bard-web-server_20240201.08_p9&_reqid=%7B%7D&rt=c))".

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install BardonChatGPT(v0.1.8) Chrome extension.
  2. Type a message to ChatGPT and press Enter to load a response from BARD.
  3. See error.

Expected behavior
A response from BARD should be loaded without any errors.

Desktop

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge
  • Version: 121.0.2277.106

Additional context
I suspect this issue might be due to the fact that BARD no longer exists and has been replaced with Gemini by Google.

Date of testing
Tested on 09/02/2024.

@jman3000c well we have made the change, waiting for webstore to complete the review. If you are on edge it may take a long time as they have a longer process.

@jman3000c By the way, since you are a developer you can also give us some advice on how to handle such sudden change in APIs/endpoints etc. We are trying to take inputs from as many devs as possible.
