Add additional collectibletypes or allow building collectibles from others?

They are looking for additional collectible types. I don't have a problem with opening it up to new types (as we should be able to support anything) but he has some where it is a collectible made up of other collectibles. It would be nice if collectibles could be made from other collectibles.
