Cant download on windows because of files contining illegal character : #1560

This issue prevents contributors on windows from cloning this repository at all.

Solution. Rename the files and update anywhere in the code that relies on these file names.

This is the error you get when cloning on windows. A mac or linux environment is needed to fix this.
