What I think a code assistant should do

The below is what I sent to copilot after unsubscrible it. The feature I requested is what I think code assistant should have, though I know it is complicated to do.

Current version (without ChatGPT), it is useless. I don't want to check the auto generated text/code. And even with the ChatGPT in the prebuild version, I don't think it better than using ChatGPT directly.

I think Copilot could have a killer feature if and only if it could gain GLOBAL informatio of a project opened by vscode. This feature would be especially useful for a HUGE project. With this feature, I could send sommd commands to it, like:

1. Why would this function use this parameter？
2. I want to know which part(s) of the project is related to Feature A, could you tell me?
3. I want to add a feature (e.g. adding audio stream to a method which already dealt with video stream with some code style ande 3rd library)to this project, some suggestion or code?
4. Try to optimize the code globally (Of course, the routine should not violate the existed logic)
