Default value not displayed until input is clicked

I have a setup using ng-pickadate and populate that data from an async request
The problem is the input doesn't showup the value until I click to it.
I'm using the latest version.

I think it's because there's no watcher on pickADate variable. I'll try to have a look in the next few days, but fell free to open a pull request if you think you can fix this.
