Can't get account or connected state after connecting with Coinbase wallet

After successfully connecting with Coinbase wallet (onSessionApproved is triggered with approvedSession as CoinbaseSession), the Web3Modal still claims that the state is not connected and it returns null on getAccount method. It's not possible to use the modal again to retry connection (see screenshot 1).
However, Coinbase app shows that there is a dapp connected to the account but it shows a dapp without a name on the list of connected dapps (see screenshot 2)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Click "Connect Wallet"
2. Choose Coinbase wallet
3. Click Allow on the Coinbase wallet popup
4. See inconsistent state
