I have an emerald furnace in my world and I am getting awful lag. I used profiler which led me to the culprit being the furnace. Attached is the profiler result.
I upped the xp overload to 500 recipes and that took care of the issue, but I figure I report it in case there is someone else having the same problem.
EDIT: That actually made it worse once I started using it again so I am not sure what to do now
EDIT2: Upgrading to an Obsidian furnace solved the issue

Let's start again as there are too many edits already.
After further testing, I finally found the culprit. Whenever I put a Variable card from Integrated Dynamics into the item exporter which feeds the furnace from the bottom, I get the lag. The variable card points to an inventory reader that contains all the items I need to be exported to the furnace. I am going to cross-post to ID in case it is their issue and not the furnace, although I am not having the issue with any other machines.
