sample rates

Hi, I'm finding this app to be extremely useful. I have some questions regarding the sensor sample rates.

Currently with my phone and band, the nominal GSR sample rate is 5 Hz independent of
setting the rate to the 200 Hz or to the 5000 Hz settings in the App. Also, the acceleration sampling rate is largest when the 16 Hz rate set, and seems to correspond to an actual, nominal sample rate which is equal to 60 Hz.

Are there conditions under which the sample rates that can be selected manifest in recorded data in
the logs that have been collected at the selected sample rate? If so, under what settings and/or conditions?

Lastly, the aggregated data log contains measurements reported approx. every 1/8 seconds. What
sets the sample rate (about 8 Hz) for data in the aggregate log?
