I am seeing the last commit is 7 months back and that the documentation on Backstage project is powered by Docusaurus and not by MkDocs Material ... https://github.com/backstage/backstage

Is this plugin still being developed? Used at Backstage or Spotify?

If there was a switch away I am curious to learn more about why given the deep subject matter expertise of author and experience with MkDocs and alternatives.

Or perhaps this active plugin is the replacement for this plugin? If so, it might be good to update the README to reflect this: https://github.com/jdoiro3/mkdocs-multirepo-plugin
