Issue description

I have managed to fix the Retroflag GPI Case scripts to work with Batocera40 and I was hoping this could be implemented for the Power management within Batocera?

All the details are here:
RetroFlag/GPiCase2-Script#24

And on my repo:
https://github.com/henryjfry/batocera_gpi2/tree/main

So the current GPI Case stuff in batocera is for the Pi Zero. It will amend the the config.txt with something which is not needed and the GPI case 2 needs a different LCD management script (which can be integrated with the power management and therefore readily integrated into batocera?)

So i think this could be added into the /usr/bin/rpi_gpioswitch stuff fairly easy but im not too certain?

Detailed reproduction steps

Current GPI case scripts just dont work with Batocera after v32?
And the latest version cant determine the HDMI is connected or the power switched off without the scripts being rewritten.

Details of any attempts to fix this yourself

FIXED:

Details of any modifications you have made to Batocera.

None, currently external scripts but could be integrated into batocera:

/usr/bin/rpi_gpioswitch
