People who read papers and are directed to e.g. VFB to find the data tend to find it difficult to compare the text with what CATMAID shows them. As papers are practically web pages, we could have a widget which is literally just the paper with some extra markup. As a MVP, neuron names mentioned in the paper would be a clickable link which makes that the active skeleton. Groups could open selection tables and/or 3D viewers.
Figures could also be clickable and open either a selection table of relevant neurons, or, if the figure is something which can be approximated in CATMAID (e.g. graph view), the relevant widget with those neurons pre-loaded.
