Github API no longer supported #23
Comments
V2 hasn't actually been shut off yet (see https://gist.github.com/2770791 ). Still, you shouldn't rely on this app in it's current state :/ |
I guess they just don't give out the API token anymore (not anywhere that I could find), which means I can't use it if I haven't already started. Too bad. |
Same here :( |
Should we be expecting a fix for this? An update to go along with github's new no-api-token authentication system? |
No, sorry. I'd love to revisit or rewrite this app but I simply haven't been able to make time for it. I'd gladly merge things in if someone were to send me pull requests though. |
I've forked. When I have a chance, I'll look at it. |
Updates? |
@kurko, I never ended up getting around to looking at this, and I no longer use GithubNotifier. |
Github only supports API v3 as of May 1st, 2012 (https://github.com/blog/1090-github-api-moving-on). The new API does not use API tokens, and as far as I can tell, this app no longer works as expected.
