Collect laptops

Our goal is to get 20 laptops by the end of november.

I was looking through the railsgirl materials, I noticed they are using https://www.nitrous.io/ to start with rails. Everything runs in the web so the notebooks don't need to be that powerful and even windows and Chromebook users can join. But we need enough Internet bandwidth. Maybe we should offer both, a local installation and the using of the web in the start? What are you thinking?

Very good to know that we also have this option. Let's first see how many decent laptops with local rails setup we can manage to get. Do you have any update on that?

My sister has one (lenovo, ~3-4 years old)
My stepmother has one (I don't know the specs)

Would like to suport. I can provide an AMD 2.4GHz with 4GB RAM. Just installed Ubuntu on it, Seems to work fine.
