<long-description>The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a 20 seat, twin turboprop, high wing aircraft with STOL abilities and a fixed tricycle gear. Originally developed by de Haviland Canada (Series -100 to -300) nowadays Viking Air produces and distributes the Twin Otter series -400. Since it's first flight in 1969 there were built more then 900 Twin Otters and the aircraft still enjoys great popularity among skydivers and as a bush plane due to it's powerful engines and it's robustness and versatility. Moreover it can easily be equipped with floats and skis. This version for FlightGear is the DHC-6-300 series equipped with Pratt & Whitney PT6A-27 engines with 620 HP of shaft power. Have fun!
