Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe the problem.

When writing documentation, for example, it's much easier to just say "open localhost:5000", rather than "open the localhost URL, the port will vary from 5000 to 5300 ...".

Also, in many cases, developers are not running multiple applications at the same time.

Describe the solution you'd like

I understand why you may want to keep the current default behaviour, but a CLI option (to dotnet new) would be useful.

Just for completeness: the applicationUrl in the launchSettings.json file can be adjusted in order to use the same port number.

This means that you have to instruct the reader to perform these changes.
