A testnet reset is scheduled for 2024-11-06 at 20:00 UTC, one week from today. This reset will allow us to thoroughly test a critical update to the core protocol.

What this means for you:

• State reset: The testnet will undergo a full reset, meaning all deployed programs and account balances will be cleared.
• Network Downtime: The network will be temporarily unavailable during the reset process. This downtown will last around 3 hours.
• Improved faucet: this release will contain a new automated-faucet within the Entropy CLI, making the previous fund-request workflow obsolete. A new guide for requesting test-funds will be published to the docs during the testnet downtime.

Why is this reset important?

The update we're testing (release v0.3.0) can be found in the Entropy Core repo. Notably, this update includes changes like:

• Fully on-chain registration
• t-of-N signing instead of N-of-N signing
• The addition of the relayer role
• The removal of signing subgroups
• The removal of permissioned access mode

What to expect:

• There is no mandatory action required from the community
• Feel free to recreate your accounts and re-deploy programs once the testnet is back online.
