currently, that needs to be done manually.

problem: Icinga, for example, does not really support setting "down until further notice"; there's only the possibility to "acknowledge" a Problem to have it not generate further alarms. would setting a downtime of 2h automatically be enough normally?

Maybe we modify the critical nagios checks so they report all fine when we are in maintenance. This will still not handle the reboot case, but that is a case which can be handled with icinga, i think.
