I just wrecked my connection to sn05, as my wifi bugged out during execution of the ferm task.
I think we should think of a mechanism like one performs during ubuntus 'do-release-update':
Open a recovery ssh service and enable it in firewall, as long as ferm does things.
Ideas on how to do this?

ferm is about to be retired anyway, since it does not work (well) with nftables. Sooner or later we have to move to (nftables) where the underlying OS moves.
Maybe we keep this aspect in mind when we search for ferm alternatives.
