I believe (could be wrong) that the GO-CAM spec requires contributor, date, and providedBy to be specified on all edges, individuals, and the model itself.

  • Contributor - needs to be an ORCID
  • Date - could just be model generation date?
  • providedBy - needs to be some URL that exists (or can be added) in go-site/metadata/groups.yaml

I realize we don't have a date for each causal statement that we can transfer to model evidence. This date field is mandatory on evidence so @vtoure @thomaspd any ideas what we can use? Here are some:

  1. Model generation date - 99% sure this is no since it ideally should reflect date of curation.
  2. Release date of SIGNOR data used in generation
  3. Statement-specific curation date - most ideal but I think it will require SIGNOR to provide us this. OR...
  4. PMID publication date - we can use PubMed API for this

For now, in order to get the edge evidence pop-up to display in Noctua, I'm going with # 1 from above (generation date). But we'll need to figure this out eventually.
