@dscho Reading the announcement mail for Git for Windows 2.44.0-rc0 I noticed two things in the release notes.

• We changed the way we pretty print GPG, that lead to two conflicting entries. EDIT: delete outdated release note build-extra#547
• The release notes are still quite vague about when we intend to drop Windows 7/8 support. With [New cygwin version] cygwin-3.5.0 #4787 already here, we might want to spell our plans out more explicitly. EDIT: Fixed in git-for-windows/build-extra@3c48afa

@rimrul good point about the Windows 7/8 support. We should probably also adjust https://github.com/git-for-windows/git-for-windows.github.io/blob/main/requirements.md and then link to that.

While at it, I think we should also link to https://github.com/git-for-windows/git-for-windows.github.io/blob/main/32-bit.md in the 32-bit deprecation notice.
