From the description in the dtable documentation it is unclear what should be the main functionality of the plugin. Is it to make the table editing easier?

The documentation says:

This plugin allows you to use dokuwiki tables using simple ajax GUI.

This is not so important information. More important is to say what functionality the added GUI provides.
