gnuplot で

gnuplot> set terminal pdf
                      ^
         line 0: unknown or ambiguous terminal type; type just 'set terminal' for a list

というエラーが出ているようでした。

> gnuplot --version 
gnuplot 4.6 patchlevel 5

brew install gnuplot --pdf

やっと PDF が生成できるようになった!
undocumented だから README に書いておいた方がいいね。
