Summary

Set category timeline special override

Description

Summary

Offer admins flexibility to set special dates for a category that override the overall campaign timeline.

Description

A category setting that allows an admin to set special rules for a category that override the related campaign settings. For example, having a longer proposal submission phase with no reviews for the Catalyst Partners categories in Fund13.

User Value

As an admin, I can give special treatment to certain categories, so that proposal in that category can be written and scrutinized in a way that's appropriate to the category.

UX Story

When I'm editing the category brief, I click the "Add Campaign Override" button to open a modal. On the modal, I can select from pre-set options what I'd like to set a special rule on. These could include timeline, roles, and voting rules. Only "timeline" will be active.

When I click timeline, I see an editable timeline view with the current campaign configuration. I can click any date / time to change it from the current setting. When I make a new selection, the UI updates to show the change, and also highlights that section as being different from campaign.

When I click save, I get a confirmation screen showing the campaign vs special category timeline. When I click confirm, then the timeline override is applied to that category.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Discuss approach with architecture + admin. Probably case to be made that everything defined at category level, which simplifies data but creates complexity for users.
