Using Cucumber for automated testing

There is a proposal to use cucumber.io for automated testing in the TS-SDK.

Some questions that needs to be answered

• What is the value proposition of using cucumber?
  • "Because tests are written in English" Why is this important?
• Is this necessary or are conventional unit testing framework good enough?
  • What problem does cucumber solve that conventional testing frameworks does not solve?
• How will this affect the consumer of the SDK?
  • Are they being forced to serve a solution they are not interested in?
  • Would this be an opt in or opt out solution?
• What is the development cost of maintaining cucumber in the TS-SDK?
  • Could there be issues down the line that slows delivery of other features and fixes?
• Is the free option good enough?
  • Is there not a financial incentive by developers of CucumberStudio to try and get our users of the SDK to buy CucumberStudio? How will this affect the experience of using cucumber?
