Persian also known by its endonymn Farsi is spoken predominantly spoken in Iran,Afghanistan and Tajikistan in three mutually intelligable standard varieties namely Iranian Persian aka Persian, Dari Persian aka Dari and Tajiki Persian aka Tajik. Persian and Dari is written in Persian alphabet and Tajik is written in Cyrillic script. Persian is spoken by about 130 million speakers.
