On this page, you will find the activities prepared for the Metagenomics section of the Molecol.
Course data can be downloaded from /bioinf/transfer/marmic_NGS2020/. First change to your home directory. Before you download the data make sure you have enough storage in your home directory using the df command (~ XGB are needed). Then copy and paste the following rsync command. rsync efficiently transfers and synchronizes files across computer systems. Make sure you include the dot “.” at the end of the rsync command - this specifies the target location as the current directory (i.e. your home directory).\s

$ cd ~\s
$ df -h ~\s
$ rsync -rv --bwlimit=10000 /bioinf/transfer/marmic_NGS2020 . \s
