Well that PR is about 2.6.0 not 2.7.0 so... would still not solve your issue right?

I just checked and the lastest version of the driver is 2.6.0, will need to wait for 2.7.0 driver version IMO.

We don't know when the driver will support it, not sure is 2.7.0

The releases of the opensearch-java client are not regular as well compared to other clients (you can see the opensearch server is at version 2.9.0 now actually)

So yeah I propose to put this task on stand-by for now, and come back to it when the driver supports it
