Hello @Kevin2iBi and thanks for your interest in this project.

This project was born to be able to update a DNS every time the IP of a server was changing. So the current project scope only deals with IP based records.

Anyway, supporting more generic record types might not be a bad idea. At the moment I don't have the bandwidth to work on this, so feel free to submit a PR to add this feature if you can.
