Due to this line failing when faces is empty:

DEODR/deodr/triangulated_mesh.py

Line 201 in 7c5a6fd

self.nb_vertices = int(np.max(faces)) + 1

Consider:
self.nb_vertices = int(np.max(faces)) + 1 if faces.size > 0 else 0

Possibly this is a bit of a niche situation, so feel free to ignore this issue.
