Coal generator provides infinite energy when fueled

Using a setup like this:

The coal generator begins outputting energy as normal. However, when it cools down and stops, the furnace on the left continues to gain power. Breaking the furnace and quickly replacing it causes the coal generator to stop outputting energy after a short delay (the furnace gains about 2600 gJ before this happens). The atomic battery did not affect the generation. Can reproduce with an energy storage cluster, as long as it is full before output stops: coal-bug-storage.mp4.zip (This was recorded with no other mods)

Minecraft version: 1.12.2
Galacticraft version: 4.0.2.280

Single player (SP), Multiplayer (MP), or SP opened to LAN (LAN)? Singleplayer

the coal generator has an internal energy buffer
