If the user can specify blank lines above the help message line, the layout can be better some time.

A config option, or can just do it this way: if user specify "\n" at the start of customized help message string, the lib can move the "\n" before the pre-defined "[" char.

Hi @jfding, that's good feedback. The fact that we embrace all help messages with [ doesn't leave a lot of flexibility...

I'll come up with a way to support your use case, but it'll probably be removing [ if a help message is provided.
