OpenSesame 4.0.0 pre-release packages (includes OSWeb 2.0.0 and Rapunzel 1.0.0)

This prerelease is occasionally updated with new prerelease builds of OpenSesame 4.0.0, which includes OSWeb 2.0.0 and Rapunzel 1.0.0.

The core libraries of OpenSesame/ Rapunzel are updated often, and prerelease builds available on this page may not contain the latest versions of all libraries. Therefore, after starting OpenSesame or Rapunzel, an update check will be performed in the background to bring all libraries up to date. If updates are available, you will be prompted to automatically update. The update notification may take a few minutes to appear.

One notable change is the addition of a Mac OS package for ARM-based MacBooks. Thanks @robbertmijn!

A second notable change is the update to OSWeb 1.4, which includes numerous improvements for online experiments:

• Many improvements to the inline_javascript item to bring it closer to the Python API:
  • Canvas support for programmatically creating displays
  • Common functions such as xy_circle()
  • pool object for access to the file pool
  • persistent object for sharing variables and functions between scripts
• Support for .csv files as source for loop tables
