I noticed that, understandably, this repo is quite quiet.
I want to suggest the following to reduce the amount of maintenance required for this repo: Automation
Some countries may have public APIs that can be used to keep a country's holiday data up to date, without manual intervention.
As an example, here's what i found for Luxembourg:
And i am sure that many other countries have something similar, like germany on ww.gouvdata.de, or italy on www.dati.gov.it, etc...
My suggestion is the following: every time a new version is released, a collection of scripts is run to update the files containing the holidays. The holiday files keep existing as they are currently. (or they could contain placeholders where the automation would fill in)
I would very much like to hear your thoughts on this
