GitHub CoPilot Support for .Net 7 and .Net 8

I am trying to upgrade my solution from .Net 6 to .Net 8. I am on Visual Studio 2022 version 17.9.5. When I ask CoPilot Chat a question about helping in upgrading certain parts of my code it is responding "As of the time of this response, .NET 8 has not been released yet. The latest stable version of .NET is .NET 6.0.".

I am confused on what to do. Does CoPilot only support .Net 6?

Copilot needs to be able to always access the documentation for all versions (or all supported versions) of .NET.
If it cannot, then it severely limits it usage potential.
