This is not a question, it seems to be a bug or documentation issue. The API does not seem to have the same regex support as when using the github hosted search bar. |

Hi all!
"the REST API supports the same qualifiers as the web interface for GitHub"
(from: https://docs.github.com/en/rest/search?apiVersion=2022-11-28#search-code ).
I'm trying to search this via curl API call:
/main[\s\S]{100,200}mydata/ path:/[^|\/]*main.cpp$/
Both requests doesn't work:
curl -g --request GET --header "Accept: application/vnd.github+json" --header "Authorization: Bearer mytoken" --url "https://api.github.com/search/code?q=/main[\s\S]{100,200}mydata/+path:/[^|\/]*main\.cpp$/"
curl -g --request GET --header "Accept: application/vnd.github+json" --header "Authorization: Bearer mytoken" --url "https://api.github.com/search/code?q=%2Fmain[\s\S]{100%2C200}mydata%2F++path%3A%2F[^|\%2F]*main\.cpp%24%2F"
Can I use regex in API?
