I would recommend that we at least provide a default of either 2GB or 4GB RAM for our node statefulsets. This is mentioned in Issue #358 and supercedes PR #329.

I've been wanting to implement automatic requests via https://github.com/kubernetes/autoscaler/tree/master/vertical-pod-autoscaler
