@info

A component to visualize a value network of many organisations, people and products, where some products made by some people in some organisations are inputs (=ingredients) of other products made by potentially different people in different organisations, so that a user can quickly get an overview over the valiue network and interactively explore it by filtering and/or zooming into parts of it to see more details of interest to the user.

The data structure of a value network is a network graph, where the nodes are organisations, people and products and the edges/lines between the nodes are the relations between organisations, people and products, including products being ingredients of other products or organisations being sub organisations of other organisations.

The amount of nodes (= organisations, people and products) in the value network can be 100s or 1000s in total and when zoomed in a user might still want to deal with 10s of nodes and see their relations.

goals

  1. help new or existing member of dat-ecosystem.org or interested parties to easily find and explore relevant projects/orgs nad contributores/maintainers of repositories/modules in the ecosystem without having to manually go through complicated github repositories, npm links and open source code files.

  2. have a well-looking, clear, overview of the dat-ecosystem, it's projects and members, but also to be able to filter and zoom in and check the details on demand
