Pressing the compose key has no effect in Google Chrome. It works just fine in other browsers and documents.

Annoyingly, it also works without issues on my PC, where I have the same version of GC and WinCompose as on my laptop, yet it doesn't work on the latter.

I have no specials extensions or anything on either of the devices.

Please help :(

I don't have any help unfortunately, only to comment that it works fine for me in chrome. Have you tried reinstalling chrome/wincompose?

After reinstalling (and perhaps before) turns out it works on other keys, but not the right alt. Not very convenient but at least it's usable

This is odd, it works for me in Chrome 115.0.5790.110 with WinCompose 0.9.11; I can use RightAlt+-+-+- and get the em-dash like so: —

What options do you have enabled/disabled in the WinCompose options? Maybe one of those is making it not play nice with Chrome?
