From issue #30:

please modify/add feature that the text copied using "yank" commands like "y$" Y" etc... will be copied to the clipboard so that the copied text can be pasted to other places

It may be enough to just ensure that this plugin works fine, and refer to it in the README: https://github.com/kutsan/zsh-system-clipboard
